Is your design workload building up?

Read this.

I’m Matt. I run Ginger and Tall, a small and friendly graphic design agency based in Swansea, South Wales. We only work with charities.

In 2025, we worked with over 65 charities. Most of them came to us at a very similar point. Design had quietly outgrown the time and capacity available internally.

Let’s have a chat

If design is starting to feel overwhelming, a short conversation can help you sense-check what support would actually make life easier. There’s no hard sell and no pressure. And if we do meet, I’ll happily buy the coffee.

Not a fan of meetings? That's fine!

Does this sound familiar?

The workload has grown and requests are coming from everywhere. Design is needed for campaigns, fundraising, events, reports and day-to-day comms, but it’s being handled alongside already full roles. There never seem to be enough hours, and design ends up squeezed in around everything else.

You’re not short on ideas. You’re short on capacity.

At this stage, most charities aren’t trying to solve a creativity problem. They’re trying to find reliable design support they can trust. Support that brings continuity, consistency and confidence that things will get done properly, without everything landing on one or two people.

Why this usually isn’t sustainable

When design is handled internally alongside other responsibilities, the same challenges tend to appear. Work gets squished around competing priorities, output is limited by time rather than need, and the look and feel becomes inconsistent. Progress slows when people are busy, off sick or pulled into other work. It’s no one’s fault. It’s just not a sustainable setup.

What working with Ginger and Tall looks like

Ginger and Tall is a small, experienced design team providing ongoing support to charities. We work month to month, adjusting as your workload changes, and we already understand how charities operate. There’s no recruitment, no onboarding, and no extra management burden added to your day.

The agency is led by me, with over 20 years’ experience in graphic design at a strategic level. We support charities of all sizes and act as an extension of your team, not another thing to manage.

Why charities stick with us

Most of our clients stay with us long-term. Not because they’re tied in, but because once we’re onboard, things genuinely get easier. There are fewer last-minute panics, more consistency across everything you produce, and far less time spent managing design.

A quick note on fees and fuss

We’re easy to work with and realistic about budgets. There are no big agency fees, no Soho overheads, and no ball pits. We offer solid, thoughtful design support that helps charities get their work out into the world properly.
