Foothold Cymru Volunteens: Be Heard. Be Helpful

The client

Foothold Cymru is a Llanelli-based charity working with communities to provide support and opportunities in areas many of us take for granted such as food, clothing, education and employment.

As part of this, they developed the ‘Volunteens: Be Heard. Be Helpful’ project to help voluntary and community organisations better engage young people as volunteers.

What we did

Ginger and Tall worked closely with Foothold Cymru to design a toolkit to explain the project, and guide organisations through engaging young volunteers.

We also designed a series of practical resources, including 13 Canva templates, giving both young people and organisations simple, ready-to-use materials.

A pull-up banner supported promotion of the project at events and in community settings.

Impact

The toolkit, templates and promotional materials helped extend the reach of the project and enable organisations to confidently involve young volunteers.

The project was funded by the Welsh Government and delivered in collaboration with Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA).
