A day in the life
I’m the Operations Manager at Ginger and Tall, so I deal with the day-to-day running of the business; enquiries, quotes, invoicing, workload planning. I make sure all the processes within Ginger and Tall are running smoothly and are on track.
I allocate tasks to the right people to enable us to meet deadlines and exceed our client’s expectations. No two days are ever really the same, as there’s always a new project, a new charity, a new person.
The rewarding aspects of client interactions
I love seeing projects through from start to finish. Often, when the projects initially come to me, they’re just ideas, so it’s great to see an ‘idea’ become a reality and go off to print. I also love being able to build relationships with the contacts that we have at each charity. Once I get to know someone, it’s easier to understand what they’re after and how we can help.
Working with charities
When I look back and think about all the different charities, the different campaigns, and events that we’ve had the privilege of being part of over the last 10 years, it’s amazing to think of the impact they’ve had. The countless number of children, young people, and older people whose lives have been touched because of the hard work of the charities that we’ve been able to play a small part in supporting.
A strategic focus on charities
In early 2024, we made a strategic decision to focus only on charities. We know that charities need something different to your standard design agency – they need specialists. They need people who understand what they’re trying to do and why. They need people who not only want to work with them but who want to actually partner with them – to be part of their team.
That’s what we believe we can be at Ginger and Tall.
The impact of good graphic design
In this day and age, every single penny does count. Trying to make sure that campaigns reach the right people, clients, donors, and volunteers is imperative not just for a charity to survive, but for that charity to have a notable impact on people’s lives. We want to help our clients stand out by increasing their visibility and highlighting their cause. We want our clients to succeed, and we believe that good graphic design will have a massive impact on that.
The unique approach of Ginger and Tall
The personal touch is what sets us apart. Our clients deal with the same point of contact throughout a project; they’re not passed from pillar to post. They know our names, and we make sure we communicate with them throughout each job.
A surprising fact about me
Hmmm… despite not being ginger or particularly tall, I am, in fact, Matt’s sister.
